An engaging combination of interviews, vox pops and narration allows Access Denied to explore the various arguments surrounding the highly topical and controversial issue of the Australian Government’s proposed internet filter.
YOUTH DOCUMENTARY PROJECT (YDP)
Unique to the Bayside Film Festival, the award winning Youth Documentary Project (YDP) seeks to engage young adults in positive modes of self-expression and creative investigation through the creation of short documentaries.
In 2011, five professional filmmakers worked alongside media teachers to deliver 120 film production workshops to year 9 and 10 students over a three - month period. The students worked in small crews to create short documentaries on a topic of their choice.
70 short documentaries were created over this period and will be shown throughout the Bayside Film Festival on 17 – 20 August 2011.
